An extremely rare fish which looks similar to the redfin mahseer but with a slightly larger head. Body colour is like polished copper- reddish pink with an olive green head. Fins show colour variations between red and orange. Once found in sub-Himalayan region, this fish shared the same biodiversity of redfin and yellowfin, now restricted to wild, undammed sections of rivers originating in the Himalayas. Grows to 30kg.
