: Recipe_1 :

Ingredients:

Roasted Gram (भुना चना)

250 Grams

Rice (चावल)

100 Grams

Dry Maze (सूखा मक्का)

100 Grams

Sugar (चीनी)

50 Grams

Cardamoms (इलायची)

6~8 Pcs

Bread

1 Loaf

Peanut oil (मूंगफली का तॆल)

2~3Table Spoon.

Preparation:

For preparing this simple but very effective recipe, you will need a mixer grinder. First of all put the rice and Cardamoms in the mixer and grind it to fine powder. Now add the Roasted Gram and Sugar in the same mix and grind it also. Keep the powder in a plastic tub (तसला ) and mix the Peanut oil with this mix by rubbing the oil and powder by hands till the oil is mixed evenly in the powder. Store the powder in an air tight bag.

Meanwhile grind the dry Maze course such as the pieces breaks into 3~4 parts. Soak it with water for at least 12 hour.

Break the Bread loaf into small pieces and grind them also using the mixer. Store the grinded bread in an air tight container.

Final Mix:

To make the final mix, put the three forth powder in a plastic tub and add the ground Maze, after draining the water. Rub the wet maze with powder till the moister is distributed evenly in the mix. This mix should be such that when you press it by your hand, it should become a ball which when you break should not crumble and break in two parts. In case the mix is crumbling, add some more water till the required consistency is achieved. This is a very important part and one should only use enough water which is required to obtain required consistency. Now put the bread crumbs in the same tub and stir the mix by hand till the crumbs mix evenly with the powder. Take care not to rub the mix at this stage. Re-check the consistency by pressing the mix as described above. The mix is a fast dissolving concoction and to reduce the solvency, adds some more powder, from your left over stock, after mixing it with water. The ideal mix should remain on the feeder for at least 30 minutes if the fish are feeding on it. Once you mould the bait on the feeder, roll it in the remaining dry powder before casting.

Variations:

1-    In place of water, to be mixed in the mixture, one can use sugar syrup or liquid Jaggery (गुड), commonly called as Rab (राब) or Kakvi (काकवी)

2-    One can also mix ground biscuits, the best being Parle-G Glucose Biscuits or Coconut Biscuits.

3-    One can use a small quantity of cake crumbs in addition to bread crumbs also.

4-    To give the feeder a solid base, making some dough of the mix, and putting it as core works very fine.

5-    Instead of using Cardamom scent, one can use other scent like Vanila or any other scent which works in a particular water.

Ingredients:

Rice Powder (चावल का आटा)

250 Grams

Roasted Gram (भुना चना)

100 Grams

Oil Cake Mustered (सरसों की खली)

100 Grams

Boiled Rice (उबला चावल)

100 Grams

Sugar (चीनी)

50 Grams

Cardamoms (इलायची)

6~8 Pcs

Mustered Oil (सरसों का तॆल)

2~3Table Spoon

Preparation:

Grind the Oil Cake as fine powder. Keep the powder in a plastic tub (तसला) and mix the Mustered oil with the powder by rubbing the oil and powder by hands till the oil is mixed evenly in the powder. Roast the mix in a pan by stirring it continuously till it becomes reddish in colour.

Grind the Roasted Gram, Cardamom and sugar together and mix it with the oilcake powder. Add the Rice Powder with the mix and shake and stir it till it becomes homogeneous. Store the Powder in an air tight bag.

Keep the boiled rice for at least 12 hours in open.

Final Mix:

To make the final mix, add small quantity of water in the boiled rice and rub it by hands till it becomes a paste. Go on adding small quantities of ready powder with the rice and stir mix till you achieve the required consistency. 2/3rd powder should be enough for a good mix. Once you mould the bait on the feeder, roll it in the remaining dry powder before casting.

Variations:

1-    In place of water, to be mixed in the boiled rice, one can use sugar syrup or liquid Jaggery (गुड), commonly called as Rab (राब) or Kakvi (काकवी)

2-    One can also mix ground biscuits, the best being Parle-G Glucose Biscuits or Coconut Biscuits.

3-    One can use a small quantity of cake crumbs with this mix..

4-    To give the feeder a solid base, making some dough of the mix, and putting it as core works very fine.

5-    Instead of using Cardamom scent, one can use other scent like Vanila or any other scent which works in a particular water.

: Recipe_3 :

Ingredients:

Refined Wheat Flour (मायदा)

1   Cup

Ground Sugar (पिसी शक्कर)

1   Cup

Egg (अंडा)

2   Nos

Pure Ghee (असली घी)

½  Cup

Vanilla Essence (वनिला एसेंस)

1   TSP

Rice Powder (चावल का आटा)

250 Grams

Roasted Gram (भुना चना)

100 Grams

Bread (डबल रोटी)

1 Loaf

Preparation:

Beat the Pure Ghee with ground sugar till light. Separate the egg yolk from the egg white. Add the egg yolk one at a time to the butter and sugar mix, beating well after each addition. Now add the vanilla essence and mix well. Add Maida gradually to this mix and go on stirring it till becomes homogenous. Beat the egg white till they form soft peaks. Fold this into the mix. It should form a batter consistency. The above mix is nothing but simple cake batter prepared at home minus the baking soda. Store the same in an air tight container.

Now grind the Roasted Gram and mix it with rice powder. Break the Bread loaf into small pieces and grind them using a mixer. Store the powder mix and the grinded bread in an air tight container.

Final Mix:

To make final mix, take 2/3rd of the powder mix in a plastic tub (तसला ) and go on adding the cake batter with it while rubbing it with your hand. The final mix should be a homogenous concoction which when pressed should form a ball in your hand. Add bread crumbs to the mix and stir mix to get the final bait. Note that more bread crumb the more solvent the bait so use it accordingly to your requirement.

Variations:

Other base materials like Rice Husk (Konda-कोंदा), Cake Crumbs or Biscuit Powder can be used instead of Gram Flour and Rice.

Applying a coat of batter on the feeder and rolling it in the powder gives very good results.
